Deepika moved to tears, Ranbir to rescue

From the time of ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ making the film instantly garnered attention, especially for its lead pair - Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.

Gossips flared up as to how these ex-lovers are going to work together post their bitter break-up. Even while the shooting stills were out, the talks never died down, instead it attracted eyeballs to see this once-lovebirds sharing screen space without any apprehensions.

Well that’s Ranbir and Deepika for you - both of whom are thorough professionals and are really committed to their work. Both had closed their doors on the past and shook hands to do this Ayan Mukherji’s directorial. But the audience and media don’t want to leave them in peace...

At the ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ promo launch which took place early this week the media charged Deepika and Ranbir with umpteenth questions about their relationship. Much to the discomfort of the actors, the entire event got more and more centric to their relationship.

Deepika was also brashly asked about the 'RK' tattoo which she had engraved while the duo were in a relationship. At this point in time, Ranbir jumped into the conversation and came to her defence. Deepika was stumped. Post that Ranbir fielded all the awkward questions directed towards her.

Even after the press conference got over Deepika was baffled. So much so that when she was backstage she went into an emotional turmoil. She profusely thanked Ranbir with moist eyes. Few who were present around saw tears rolling down her eyes.

Sources close to Deepika share, that at heart she is a simple girl. She could not handle her relationship being questioned and discussed in such a public forum. Her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor will always be a very special one for her.
