Everyone are going gaga over Deepika Padukone's Bengali girl in 'Piku' and it also being called as one of Deepika`s best performances. But did you know, this is not the first time the actress has been associated with Bengal?

As a matter of fact, Deepika`s first ever brand endorsement was PC Chandra Jewellers. The actress set foot in the industry with the jewellery brand that is a Bengali brand. She has now completed a full circle with her recent hit 'Piku' where she plays a Bengali girl. It is said that Deepika was chosen for the brand endorsement because they felt that her eyes were Bengali.

One can take a note that the talented beauty has played diverse roles - as a South Indian in 'Chennai Express', a Goanese girl in 'Finding Fanny' and now a Bengali in 'Piku'. She can easily carry off different kinds of characters and she has been receiving accolades for her performance. Next, Deepika will be seen in 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Tamasha'.
