Deepika Padukone is ecstatic and that too for all the right reasons. With 'Cocktail' turning out to be a clean success, she now has commercial money spinner to her name, something that was spending for long.

The actress had been finding good reviews coming her way for her performances in the recent past but was eluded by a film that carried a hit tag.

However that has now happened with 'Cocktail' and that too in an era when it is South remakes or sequels that are ruling the roost. "Well, I am not someone who believes that only a remake can be successful.

In fact as a matter of fact I strongly feel that there is no formula to a successful film.

Yes, you are right when you say that in the recent past the only films to have done such tremendous business are South remakes or sequels. However there is also this one film which makes its presence felt and kicks off a new trend.

'Cocktail' is one such film and it is an original tale. Now with the film doing such great business as well, it has carved a niche for itself", says Deepika whose last big success was 'Housefull'.

However what these scenes have succeeded in is lending her the status of a star-actor, something that most out there in Bollywood crave for.

"Now being tagged as a star-actor is a huge compliment for sure", she acknowledges the appreciation coming her way, "Isn't this something that every actor wants to achieve? Having said that, I do believe that I still really have a long way to go.

I am glad though that Dinu (Dinesh Vijan), Imtiaz (Ali) and Homi (Adajania) believed in me to deliver goods. Moreover his production house has given me two of my best love stories.

It is time now to take the association forward." Well, after 'Love Aaj Kal', 'Aarakshan', 'Cocktail' and 'Race 2', one waits to see how many more films would Deepika and Saif pair up again in near future.
