Director cum producer Teshi Venkatesh has launched his third film starring Deepak of 'Sishya' fame. He has two unfihished projects. Nannusire Ninnusire requires 28 artistes call sheet to shoot the climax. 'Sangram Singh' a film on the controversial cop will begin in June as the top star who plays the title role has given the call sheet in that month said Teshi before saying anything about his new film 'Thagru'.

'Thyagu' is about 'Annadha Koogu'. The value of food is focused in this film. From village to city the protagonist comes. He works as a hotel worker. He find cumbersome situation in big bad Bangalore. He finds the food going waste in the gutter. On one fine day he is in a tiff with an important person. He is locked in problem, sentenced to prison and later becomes a tough guy to take revenge. He is supported by the heroine in his mission. He sacrifices his life for the good of society explained director Teshi Venkatesh. The shooting will be held in Bellary Jail for four days.

The heroine selection is still going on. The heroine will be a Tea stall owner. Teshi is looking for good performer who also matches the height of Deepak.

This is the third film for Deepak. Deepak was shunted out by Teshi after announcement for Nannusire Nannusiru and included Dilip. But now Deepak is back in Teshi camp. He is happy because director Teshi is including from real life incidents. This is action oriented too says Deepak.

Balraj a close relative of Dr.Rajkumar family glued to television serial 'Silly Lalli' is playing the cashier of a hotel always supporting the protagonist in the film. Chetan would like to be in negative roles because of good dimension it has.

Teshi Venkatesh is producing this film in the name of his wife Mamatha. He has registered the title of this film two years ago. His son is also playing the younger Deepak role. From this film Raju Upendrakumar – music director name is changed as 'Uppi Raju'. He is scoring music for four songs. Mahantesh is the new cameraman for this film.
