CSK’s Deepak Chahar proposes to girlfriend after IPL match; Video goes viral

Despite CSK’s unsatisfactory performance in their final league game of IPL 2021 against Punjab Kings, it turned out to be one of the best days of his life for pacer Deepak Chahar as he got engaged to his girlfriend at the stands following the match.

Deepak Chahar’s girlfriend Jaya Bhardwaj was in for a major surprise yesterday evening as the bowler went down on his knee and proposed to her. A video of the event, initially shared by CSK’s social media handle and later by Chahar himself, has gone viral on social media. As per reports, Jaya Bhardwaj hails from Delhi and works for a corporate firm. She is also the sister of former Bigg Boss contestant Siddharth Bhardwaj, who is a TV actor and has appeared on Splitsvilla 2 as well. Jaya has apparently been dating Chahar for a while and accompanied him to the UAE for the second session of IPL 2021.

Sharing the video of the proposal, Deepak Chahar wrote on his social media handle, “Special and one of the best moments of my life.” In another tweet, he added, “Special thanks to @bcci and @IPL  and @JayShah sir for making this day happen for me. Thank you so much.”
