Director Deekay of 'Yaamirukka Bayamey' fame is currently busy shooting for his third film 'Katteri'. The film is being produced by K.E.Gnanavel Raja under the prestigious Studio Green banner.

The film stars Vaibhav, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar Sonam Bhajwa, Aathmika, Manali Rathore, Ponnambalam, Karunakaran, Ravi Maria, John Vijay and many others. Vikki is handling the cinematography. S.N.Prasad is the music director. Deekay has written the script and dialogues for the film.

The director assures that the title 'Katteri' doesn't mean the film will be horror and blood spill. He says it is a film targeted at children. He also points out that the Tamil word 'Katteri' which is used to refer a blood sucking ghost also used to mean ancestors. The director said the title was suggested by the producer Gananavel Raja when he heard the story.

The film has 1960s period portions. Varalaxmi and Manali Rathore will be appearing in those portions. Sonam Bhajwa plays a selfish girl. Aathmika of 'Meesaya Murukku' fame, plays a psychiatrist in the film.

Deekay further said that like the popular 'Panni Moonji Vaayan' character played by now extremely popular Yogi Babu, in his debut film. 'Katteri; will also have many interesting and unique characters.
