Decision taken: No boycott of TV channels

The alleged cold war between the Telugu film industry and some news channels seems to have come to an end.  Amidst rumours that there was a proposal to boycott some TV channels after they made objectionable moves against film industry and Pawan Kalyan, Allam Narayana of the Telangana Press Academy and Kranthi of Telangana Union of Working Journalists started engaging with some industry heads like D Suresh Babu, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Allu Aravind and K L Narayana.

To begin with, news editors' association is said to have raised objections.  As per them, no channel had aired Sri Reddy's abuse of Pawan Kalyan.  The cuss word that she used was muted.  However, through "morphed videos", a sentiment against specific channels was sought to be created.

After a meeting between the two parties on Tuesday, it was decided that there should be no boycott of any TV channel.  (Curiously, Naga Babu today happened to say in an interview that there was no such proposal in the first place!).

All is well that ends well.
