'Dear Comrade' Trailer: A Mix Of The Right Elements

"That's the problem with you. You are too impulsive," says the helpless college principal to Comrade Bobby (Vijay Deverakonda). It is a throwback to what the dean says about Arjun Reddy in that sensational hit of 2017. "Anger management lo zero". If Arjun held a surgical blade in that game-changing movie, you will see Comrade Bobby holding a flag with an agenda to stop the enemies. He is a crusading comrade and the price he may have to pay for his anger could be too big - will he lose Lilly's (Rashmika Mandanna) presence in his life, even if temporarily?
'Fight for what you love' is Bobby's clarion call to Lilly and it is a reminder of 'Screw the rules of the society' line (in the climax scene) of 'Arjun Reddy'.
The female lead playing the role of a state player is a far cry from what we get to see in our movies.
To be sure, 'Dear Comrade' has a heady mix going for it. Love, romance (those kisses are seductive), college campus politics, group wars among students, cricket, and that one 'Jersey' thing - 'What if life gives a second chance?' That is a tempting proposition, we must say. Vijay's character seems to give others a lot of mental tension and that's a running theme in the Trailer.
Throw in those tantalizingly beuatiful songs from Justine Prabhakaran, the film is a potential big opener. Directed by Bharat Kamma, it will be released in all south Indian languages.
Produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Yash Rangineni under Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben Cinemas.
