Vijay Deverakonda is happy that 'Dear Comrade' is doing "extremely well" at the box-office. Speaking at the film's success meet on Saturday, the Rowdy Star said, "I am emotionally so attached to the film, having invested my emotions in it for more than a year. It's a very personal film to me. I have been so emotional because of this film that I couldn't fight back my tears while speaking at an event of my brother Anand's film ('Dorasaani'). Even my friends are surprised that I am getting emotional these days. 'DC' is the reason for this. This film has explored my emotional side," the actor said.
He claimed not to know much about the collections. "I can only say that 'DC' is the biggest hit in my career. I thank the Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil audience for the reception. Since this is a multi-lingual, it was my responsibility to bring the audience to the theatres. Country-wide, review-writers are very positive about our film," VD added.
Debutant director Bharat Kamma said that he got goosebumps when he watched the climax scene in a Hyderabad theatre. "The response from the audience to the climax scene was stupendous there," he added.
Mythri Movie Makers' CEO Cherry said that distributors are happy across all languages. Yash Rangineni, one of the producers, said that the collections in the US and the UK are very encouraging.
Rashmika Mandanna said that she is proud to have done a film like this. "Everyone is saying that they could relate to the emotions in it," she added.
