Simbu can be consistently unusual. The other day, speaking at a film event, the maverick actor famously said that he wouldn't care to send his kids to school. He was hitting out at the educational system.

Saying that schools hardly care for students' learning, he opined that only answers in the exam matter for the institutions. Simbu took potshots at the culture of punishment in schools.

He exhorted parents to find out what their kids are interested in and mentor them suitably. Giving the example of his father (TR Rajender), Simbu said that it was his dad who recognized his talent and groomed him accordingly. No school ever did that for him.
