Television anchor Dhivyadharshini referred to as DD in the industry, known for her hit shows like Coffee with DD, and many other shows, had also starred in few Tamil movies in supporting roles. She had been a part of mid 2000s movies like Whistle and Nala Damayanti.

Recently she was seen in films like Sarvam Thaala Mayam and Paa Paandi and is currently acting in Chiyaan Vikram's Dhruva Natchathiram. The TV Star who had recently completed twenty years on TV has now ventured into Tollywood as an actress as well.

DD will be seen playing an important role in Pokiri director Puri Jagannath's next production venture "Romantic" which will have his son Akash Puri (who had acted in movies like Prakashraj's Dhoni) as the hero, and the actress had posted a tweet sharing that the first schedule of the movie had been wrapped.
