Warner Bros has introduced new characters to the DC Extended Universe with its new preview video of DC's 2022 slate of films. The minute-long video promo features new footage from The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman 2. While the fans were disappointed for discarding the Snyderverse, these new movies might put DCEU back on the charts.
Now, the future of DCEU looks promising with Matt Reeves' The Batman receiving stupendous reviews from the critics already. This version will explore the dark side and detective skills of the caped crusader. Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz play Bruce Wayne aka Batman and Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in The Batman respectively, which is scheduled to release on March 4.
The highlight of the promo is the exclusive footage from Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock starrer 'Black Adam'. It introduces some new characters to DCEU and will mark the live-action debut of the Justice Society of America. The new characters are Pierce Brosnan stars as Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge plays Hawkman, Noah Centineo plays Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell plays Cyclone. Black Adam is set to be released on July 29.
One of the biggest upcoming movies from the studio is 'The Flash', the live-action adaptation of DC's superhit animated movie 'Flashpoint Paradox' based on the Flashpoint storyline that features more versions of Batman and Joker. Directed by Andy Muschietti, Ezra Miller plays Barry Allen and Michael Keaton reprises Batman role. The Flash is scheduled to be released on November 4, 2022.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom brings back Jason Momoa in the role of half-human and half-Atlantean superhero. Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II return in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom as Mera, Orm or Ocean Master, King Nereus, and Black Manta. The venture is all set to be released on December 16, 2022.
