Dazzling beauty Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first child with Ranveer Singh, has finally put an end to the online speculation surrounding her pregnancy. The actress took to her Instagram stories on Wednesday evening, sharing a picture of herself flaunting her baby bump.  While her face was blurred, her growing belly was clearly visible in a black body-hugging outfit.

This comes weeks after Deepika faced criticism from trolls who questioned the authenticity of her baby bump after she was spotted casting her vote in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Ranveer Singh swiftly came to his wife’s defense, sharing a picture of Deepika on his Instagram stories with the caption, “Buri nazar wale tera moonh kala” (May the evil eye be averted) and an evil-eye emoji.

Senior journalist Faye D’Souza also voiced her support for Deepika, condemning the online harassment and reminding people that celebrities are entitled to privacy, especially during such personal moments. Her post, which garnered support from Alia Bhatt and her family, emphasized the need for respectful online behavior.

Deepika previously expressed her excitement and nervousness about joining the “Kalki 2898 AD” cast, citing the film’s extensive VFX and the novelty of working with Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin.
