Geetanand and Neha Solanki starrer "Game On" is set to hit the screens on February 2, 2024. Anticipation is soaring as the film's teaser and trailer have already captivated the interest of movie enthusiasts. The creative helm is steered by director Dayanandh Reddy, who recently engaged with the press to share insights on the film just before its release.
What made you turn director with Game On
My passion for films has been ingrained in me since childhood. The pivotal moment that solidified my commitment to entering the industry came after watching "Happy Days" and "Ae Maya Kalave." The influential director Puri Jagannath has always been my favorite, and I aspired to embody his spirit in my directorial journey.
Before venturing into Game On, I honed my skills by creating several short films. To deepen my understanding of the craft, I dedicated six months to a film-making course at Annapurna Film School. This experience not only provided me with valuable insights into production but also enhanced my knowledge of sound designing, contributing significantly to my growth in the cinematic realm.
What is the concept of Game On
In crafting the narrative for Game On, my intention was to make a directorial entry with a concept distinct from conventional commercial films. The storyline delves into the transformative journey of an individual who, initially desiring to end his life, finds a new purpose when a game enters his existence. The hero of the movie undertakes a series of nine tasks within the game, each unfolding with gripping twists and turns.
The second half introduces a particularly intriguing task that adds depth to the storyline. The film uniquely explores how the game becomes a beacon of hope for someone who had resigned to the idea of their own demise. Game On stands as a cinematic portrayal of the profound impact a game can have on an individual's life, offering a refreshing perspective beyond the ordinary.
What are the elements in Game On
The game in Game On exudes a raw and rustic charm, seamlessly blending diverse family emotions with elements that resonate with the youth. Geetanand, in the lead role, delivers a standout performance, bringing depth and authenticity to his character. Madhubala's portrayal introduces a refreshing and unique facet to her character, while Adityaminan impresses as a nuanced psychological doctor, showcasing different shades in his acting.
A notable highlight is Shubhalekha Sudhakar's character, which adds a significant layer to the narrative. Neha Solanki, in a mass role, surprises with her impactful performance, effectively establishing her role as a second hero in the storyline. Game On promises a multi-faceted cinematic experience, enriched by the diverse talents and intriguing character dynamics brought to life by the ensemble cast.
What about Technical aspects in Game On
The film boasts a remarkable background score meticulously created by music director Abhishek, complemented by the exceptional songs composed by Nawab Gangs. The cinematography has been executed with finesse, adding an extra layer of visual appeal to the overall cinematic experience.
Did you get theatres for Game On
There is a belief that even with a limited theatrical release, Game On has the potential to gradually gain traction in theaters. Early previews have garnered positive responses, suggesting that the film is resonating well with audiences. Notably, Game On is positioned as a family-friendly movie, ensuring that the entire family can enjoy it without experiencing any dull moments.
