The makers of Vikram-Jiiva starrer film, David, have formally said that the Tamil and Hindi versions will be released on Feb1, but the telugu version has to wait for a week more. Also starring Tabu, Lara Datta and Isha Shravani, it is music-directed by a motley of musicians, including Kolaveri Di fame Anirudh Ravinchandar, among others.
An ensemble cast and a technical team of expertise are its strengths. Made at a cost of Rs. 50 cr, it comes with the tag line, "Two Lives, One Name."
With Vikram and Jiiva in lead roles, the former as a fisherman and the latter as a musician, the film, according to Bejoy, is a thriller with a difference.
"I am simultaneously making the movie in Hindi too. But there are three heroes in the Bollywood version. Tabu, Lara Dutta and Sheetal Menon are the three leading ladies," adds the director.
Bejoy is a Mani Ratnam protege.
