'David' gets real facts

The forthcoming Bejoy Nambiar’s film ‘David’ has been generating curiosity since the release of its trailers. The story which carries stories about different time-spaced men with same name, it is said that few portions of the film is actually being inspired by real life incident.

For instance, the Mumbai track of David Bombay of 1999 has been inspired by life.

Similarly the character of Rohini Hattangadi is inspired by the real life personality of Uma Bharti. Rohini plays is a Hindu hardliner in the film who believes that catholic covert Hindu followers into Christianity.

Uma Bharti, the BJP politician, in real life also has similar point of view.

In fact a very high profile case of Orissa priest burning has been integrated into the story line. David played by Vinay Virmani's character sees this from outside and is stunned at the ferocity of religious emotions.

Starring Vikram, Vinay and Neil as the men with same name ‘David’, the action-thriller is set to hit theaters on 1st February.
