David Billa
Ajith's forthcoming offering, David Billa, is a prequel to his 2007 blockbuster hit, Billa (Tamil)). This film by Chakri Toleti showcases how a commoner, who is an Eelam refugee, hailing from a coastal town, goes on to become Billa, a most feared underworld don.
Ajith plays the titular role in the film with Parvathy and Bruna Abdullah playing his lead ladies, and Sudhanshu Pandey will be seen in a pivotal role.
Those who have watched Billa in Andhra Pradesh expect from David Billa, a sleek package of thrilling scenes. In the Vishnu Vardhan film, the oomph factor was lent by the presence of Nayanatara and Namitha. An interesting aspect of David Billa that Chakri Toleti has used the EPIC camera for filming. This is the first ever Indian film to have been shot by this camera. It was the same breed of EPIC Camera that was used by James Cameron to film 'Avatar'.
Yuvan Shankar Raja's music is yet another highlight. Going by the trailers, RD Rajashekar's cinematography will be equally enterataining.
When the film releases in June, it is to be seen if it surpasses the popularity of Gambler, Ajith's last Telugu outing, which was a dubbed version of Mankatha.
