A special CBI Court in New Delhi would reveal the date of verdict in the multi-crore 2G Spectrum scam which shook the conscience of every Indian when it came to the fore a almost a decade back.

2G Spectrum scam is one of the most-discussed scams in the country which has had a history of scams including the Bofors gun scam, cattle fodder scam in Bihar, etc. Justice O.P. Saini had been conducting trial in the case for the past many years.

After the conclusion of hearing of the final spell of arguments by the counsels of the concerned, the Judge had declared earlier that he would reserve his judgment and would announce the date of verdict on 25th October. The verdict might determine the political future of former Union Telecom Minister and DMK leader A. Raja and the party’s Rajya Sabha M.P. Kanimozhi, daughter of party president M. Karunanidhi.

Awaited with huge interest by the people, judiciary as well as many others, the verdict is sure to create waves in Tamil Nadu’s political scenario as a verdict against the accused might affect the DMK’s poll prospects in case of a mid-term Assembly poll.
