As the release date of the epic film 'Dasavathar' which falls on June 06th is getting closer, we get a feeling that a huge wave is approaching with all its might to assault our minds with the sheer strength of its entertaining value.

No other film in recent times has been designed with such grandeur to give viewers a unique experience. An experience beyond comparison that can be cherished for a lifetime.

It sure takes guts just to think of recreating the onslaught of the deadly Tsunami. The tremendous force of the gushing water that rose as high as a double storey building only to swallow whatever comes in its path is not only a task which requires months of planning, incredible team work, experienced hardcore professionalism but to top it all a willingness to take a huge risk especially because of the danger involved with letting out enormous quantities of stored up water exclusively for the purpose of filming.

But then, do the filmmakers have any other option to recreate the real power of the Tsunami? Truly a big ask with the magnitude of the tsunami on one hand and the extra perfectionist attitude of the hero Kamal Hassan on the other.

The set for shooting the natural disaster was put up on five acres of land in the outskirts of Chennai city.

This space was used for canning the scenes in which the water will be shown exploding with force and on its way to invade the city of Chennai. There are also shots that show the wrath of nature tossing up mighty trees and heavy cars causing them to float aimlessly like paper boats in a pond.

The same crew members of the evergreen Hollywood blockbuster 'Titanic' were employed to maximize the perfection of the Tsunami scene that would feature in 'Dasavathar' for 7 minutes. This scene is surely one of the gems of 'Dasavathar'.

We have all seen various footage of the catastrophe caused by the giant waves on different television channels and from numerous websites.

A fantastic raw real life footage of the devastation filmed with the help of a handicam in Indonesia and which has escaped the eyes of any communication media till now in the world has been sourced by the creative team of 'Dasavathar' and is to be incorporated with the scenes shot in the set. The artificially created scenes along with the raw footage when amalgamated with the world class computer graphics imagery executed in Bangkok will make the 7 minute tsunami scene the talk of the town paving the way for immortality.
