Dasari speaks against English titles

It has been decades since the British left the country, but the slave mentality in us is not gone. This is Dasari Narayana Rao's take on the fact that our filmmakers are showing inclination towards going for English titles. (It is to be noted that the conscience-keeper did not utter a word when he recently attended a Businessman success meet. He was all praise for the makers. Phew!)

Speaking at a meeting held to celebrate the success of Poola Rangadu, the director appreciated the makers for going for a Telugu title. Saying that the filmmakers in our neighbouring States do not prefer English titles, Dasari took potshots at the trend in Telugu.

It is only us who are aping others. Our people are showing disinterest/shame in going for Telugu titles.

While it is true that more and more films with English titles is fast becoming a part of our culture, selective amnesia smacks of an unhealthy trend. If a title like Love Failure is wrong , why shy from talking against a title like Businessman?
