Daruvu is an album which progressively becomes familiar and unremarkable. Vijay Antony's music, when not inspired, is boisterous. If Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics are typically plain, the choice of vocals proves unwise in some cases. Suddala's song stands out for its poetic quality and purity though. All in all, Daruvu is a wishy-washy offering, complete with platitudinous influences. Rajula Listen here Artist: Dinesh Kanagaratnam If the lyrics are teasing, the tone is conversational. Dinesh Kanagaratnam's vocals match the song's mediocrity. Bhaskarabhatla uses some catchy lines here and there, while Vijay Anthony's music is at best inspired. Usumalaresay Listen here Artists: Vijay Antony, Janaki Iyer, Emcee Jesz Basha Sri's lyrics, as his name, are mongrelised. Usumalaresay (whatever it means?) is a curious mix of the phrases like 'Guraka pettake manusulo..' While Vijay Antony's vocals, like his music, is run-of-the-mill, the female voice reminds one of many item numbers. Whether or not you like whenever the singer croons 'Dhadak dhadak', you will find the song a bit lengthy. Nijam Cheppu Listen here Artists: Naresh Iyer, Sangeetha Rajeshwaran The song would have been hummable had Vijay used his imagination. Somehow, Nijam Cheppu works insofar as it has the right male voice, but it is Sangeetha Rajeshwaran's vocals just don't work. Even Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics are pedestrian. Sexy Lady Listen here Artists: Benny Dayal, Andrea Jeremiah The song shows how copying should not be done. Vijay Antony listened to many club numbers from recent history and rehashed it as he should not have. The song drags, even though Benny Dayal is up-to-the-mark. Andrea Jeremiah's voice is ok, but it is Bhaskarabhatla's lyrics that do not exalt the adrenaline a bit. Athiri Chirabara Listen here Artists: Hemachandra, Anitha But for the dull moments, Athiri Chirabara fares better than the other songs. Sastry coins some kitschy words. Hemachandra's vocals are apt, while Anitha could have been better. Thom Thom Listen here Artist: Ananthu Ananthu's voice is oldish, but the song is musically and lyrically distinguished. Suddala's egalitarian outlook and revolutionary sympathies come to the fore. Vijay Antony does a good job with instrumentation. |
