The challenging star of Kannada cinema Darshan after receiving the best actor award for his chilling performance in historical cinema Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna` dedicated the award to villains of Kannada cinema Toogudeepa Srinivas (his father), Tiger Prabhakar, Shakthi Prasad, Dinesh, Sundarakrishna Urs, Sudhir, Musuri Krishnamurthy`.

I am not fit enough to receive this award. So I give it to the veteran villains. The role of hero attains height only after he beats villains. In Kannada cinema industry each villains have acted in 300 to 400 films. At the Amrutha Mahotsava the celebration of 75 years of Kannada cinema industry the villains were neglected. I appeal to government to consider such actors from whom a hero gains position said Darshan.

Darshan

This is my individual decision and media should not draw any inferences to it. Darshan was not present the Film Fare Award for the same film sometime ago. On Saturday evening he was present at two years Karnataka state film awards because Mysore is also his home ground.

My kind of films do not fetch me awards. For this award the work of Anand Appugol, Director Naganna, support of Srinivasamurthy, Ramesh Bhat, cameraman Ramesh Babu counts a lot he stated.
