The pre release event of 'Darshakudu' was held on Saturday evening in Hyderabad. The event was graced by Allu Arjun as chief guest

Sai Karthik said, "Very happy to see Bunny garu hero. It was Bunny garu who introduced me to Sukumar garu. It was he who felt that I should work with Sukumar garu because I have got the talent. It was my fortune to get to compose melodious for this film. 'Darshakudu' has given me greater fame."

Cinematographer Praveen thanked Sukumar for the opportunity to do the film.

Director Hari Prasad said, "The scene where Eesha asks what a director does when every craft has a separate person handling it, is actually inspired by Sukumar's real life. He had loved a girl when he was an assistant director. That girl didn't know much about movies. So, she happened to ask him what a director does. The question frightened Sukumar."

Eesha said, "It was lovely working with everyone. Please watch our movie."

Ashok said, "If we are talking on this stage, it's because of Sukumar garu. I thank the entire team."

Dil Raju said, "No matter what position we may reach, for three (Allu Arjun, Sukumar and himself) of us, 'Arya' is always the foundation. Sukumar is mad after filmmaking. He is an embodiment of the navrasas. I have seen it from close quarters. The attitude you are seeing in the protagonist of 'Darshakudu' in the trailer actually reflects Sukumar's real attitude."

Sukumar said, "Previously, people used to shout 'Arya Arya' wherever Bunny went. These days, they are shouting 'DJ DJ'. But he will always be Arya to me. I never knew that Jakka Hari Prasad was writing such a story as this. When I was making '1:Nenokkadine', Ashok approached me seeking an opportunity to be my assistant director. I told him he won't get an opportunity just because he is my brother's son. I asked him to write a version of '1: Nenokkadine'. He wrote one. I felt it was the best version among all those written by my assistant directors."

Sukumar recounted an anecdote involving him and Bunny. "I happened to get drowned in the river during the shooting of 'Arya'. While everybody was watching me, Bunny didn't care for the consequences and immediately jumped into the river to save me. Since I didn't know swimming, I was pulling him down because of helplessness. He would have died because of me and I too would have been killed. Since he saved my life, Bunny is my real hero."

He spoke about 'Arya-3'. "If a film has to be made with Bunny, it has to be a cult movie. If and when I have such a subject, we will surely work together."

Allu Arjun said, "The heroine asks in 'Darshakudu' this question: What does a director do? My answer is: He gives life to all technicians and artistes. There is the 25th craft which he manages. It's ego management. He handles the egoistic individuals, cranky heroine, etc. This is no easy task."

Bunny said that Sukumar is one of the three male persons to whom he says, 'I love you'. "Somebody asked me why I haven't been invited to a 'Darshakudu' event when Sukumar is the producer. I told him, 'Nannu pilavakunda yela untadu'. When I watched 'Kumari 21F', I got crazy. Such a lovely film. Sukumar has so many stories, but he can't direct all of them. He told me many years ago that he will start a production company to make such films. 'Naku crack undhi.. Nenu produce chestanu,' Sukumar told me. I am proud of him."

About Dil Raju, Bunny said, "He is the only producer who has already given four hits this year."

Will 'Arya-3' ever happen? "If Arya was himself an eccentric character, the second Arya was even more eccentric. But the third Arya will have to be totally mad (laughs). Picchodi subject ready avvali," he joked.
