Trisha has strongly responded to the derogatory remarks made by former AIADMK leader AV Raju against her, threatening to take legal action. Raju was expelled from AIADMK on February 17 for violating party regulations.

Expressing her dismay, Trisha took to social media, specifically X (formerly Twitter), and stated, "It's disgusting to repeatedly see lowlifes and despicable individuals stoop to any level for attention. Rest assured, necessary and severe action will be taken. Any further statements or actions will be handled by my legal team (sic)."

The video containing AV Raju's offensive comments about Trisha has since gone viral, sparking widespread outrage and condemnation on social media.

Reacting to the video, one X user commented, "Trisha should take legal action against him; these individuals are behaving very cheaply nowadays (sic)."

Another user added, "Trisha should pursue legal action against him for spreading false information."

Producer Aditi Ravindranath also criticized AV Raju's behavior, writing, "Shocked & disgusted by the behavior of Ex-AIADMK functionary A. V. Raju for making unwarranted, baseless, loose, and completely false allegations about Trisha. It is 2024; we talk about women's empowerment & equality - why drag an unrelated person into personal mudslinging. There are basic lines that should not be crossed. Request all relevant authorities to take strict action. And to those of you making crude jokes and trolls, GET A LIFE (sic)."

In a similar incident in November last year, Mansoor Ali Khan, who co-starred with Trisha in 'Leo', made inappropriate remarks suggesting he missed out on filming a 'bedroom scene' with her. His comments were widely condemned, leading to a public apology from Mansoor and a defamation lawsuit against Trisha, Chiranjeevi, and Khushboo Sundar.

Numerous industry figures, including Lokesh Kanagaraj and Karthik Subbaraj, have rallied behind Trisha, Chiranjeevi, and others, denouncing Mansoor Ali Khan's remarks as not just offensive to an artist but to all women.
