Millions of Superstar Rajinikanth fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the trailer of his next movie 'Darbar' and many were under the impression that it will be out tomorrow December 12th on the occasion of the stalwart's birthday. Santhosh Shivan the cinematographer of the movie had tweeted "A very big happy birthday to Rajini Sir.. and Darbar Trailer he is ageless" and "His Birthday is on 12 th Dec though". Fans put two and two together and came to the conclusion that the trailer will surely land within twenty four hours and started sharing the news on social media.

Santhosh Sivan has now clarified on Twitter "To all the dear Rajini Sir Fans -There is no date finalised for Trailer yet.". This could mean that the wait for the trailer will take a little longer though the film is confirmed for release on Pongal 2020.

'Darbar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions has Rajini, Nayanthara, Nivetha Pethuraj, Yogi Babu, Suniel Shetty and Prateik Babbar as the principle cast.
