With Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire' sweeping the Gloden Globes and now the BAFTA awards wouldn't ya like to know more on how and what the director saw in Mumbai before he shot the film with this city as its backdrop?

Well here's more. Danny has revealed that he was a little surprised when he came to know that Mumbai and more precisely Bollywood churned out more than a 1000 films a year. In an interview to an online website the director has said that Mumbai to him has been a very generous place and has given him all that he ever needed to make a film.

The Mumbai of today came as a shock to the director's imaginations of the city with a colonial past. He feels that Mumbai has changed vastly in the last couple of decades. For Danny Boyle who came to Mumbai to shoot a film with just 10 crew members this friendly city turned out to be a bumper with regards to the awards that the film has been amassing so far.

We wish Danny and his team the very best for their stint at Los Angeles in a couple of weeks for the Oscars!
