'Dangal': Aamir Khan waiting for the right daughters!

  • IndiaGlitz, [Monday,April 20 2015]

It's out in open and for long, how Aamir Khan, who will be seen playing a father in his next film 'Dangal', has been prepping for the role. He has been seriously and dedicatedly working on building a bulky image and we have seen it already. Meanwhile, it is said that the casting team is having a tough time auditioning girls who can essay the role of his daughters. The casting has been going on since a couple of months.

We were told that the 'Dangal' team has been scouting and has auditioned more than 21,000 girls till now. However, they have not been able to sign anyone. Since it is a tough role, the girls need to be slightly athletic and willing to undergo strenuous training.

The director of the film, Nitesh Tiwari is certain he does not want to cast someone from the industry. They are looking for fresh faces who have little or no former training in acting. So even when the team selects someone for auditioning, they have to give them time to prepare for the screen test, making the process even more challenging.

Confirming this a spokesperson shared, "We have been auditioning but have not been able to zero in on the casting yet."

After breaking all box office records with 'PK', Aamir does not have a release this year. However he seems to be gearing up for 'Dangal' which will release in 2016. It is a very different role he will be seen playing and the casting team needs to ensure they get the casting right.
