Dandupalyam-2, directed by Srinivasa Raju, is done but for patchwork. The film is a sequel to Dandupalyam, the 2012 Kannada movie, whose dubbed version grossed Rs. 10 cr. in Telugu. Producer Venkat says, "Dandupalyam went on to cross 100 days. We are producing the sequel in both Telugu and Kannada. After completing the censor formalities, we are going to release the movie in August."

He further says, "We are getting fancy business offers. Certain crucial scenes were shot in a jail set erected in Bengaluru at a cost of Rs. 1 cr. We are happy to be making this sequel at a time when Baahubali2 and Robot2 are being made."

Director Srinivasa Raju says, "We are coming with yet another interesting subject. The reality regarding an issue is being portrayed as it is. We are hopeful that this film will be loved by one and all."

The film stars Pooja Gandhi and Raghu Mukherjee in lead roles. 'Bommali' Ravishankar, Sanjjana and others are part of the cast. Cinematography is by Venkat Prasad. Music is by Arjun Janya. Srinivasa Raju has written the story and screenplay himself.
