A song for Thala Ajith's 'Viswasam' was being shot on sets on the outskirts of Pune in which the mass hero was shaking his legs with group dancers.  On Saturday around 1pm dancer O.M. Saravanan suddenly complained of uneasiness and started vomiting. The shot was stopped and he was given rest but his condition became serious and on Thala Ajith's insistence was rushed to a private hospital a few kilometers away.  Unfortunately, Saravanan passed away at the hospital much to the shock of the crew.

According to eyewitnesses Thala Ajith became extremely saddened by the incident and was with the dancers the whole three hours in the hospital.  Later the real-life hero known for his magnanimity has made arrangements for the body to be flown to Chennai where the 42 year old Saravanan was cremated in Saidapet on Sunday afternoon.  The generous gesture of Thala had the entire crew on the verge of tears.
