Damian Lewis gets White House invitation

Damian Watcyn Lewis is an English actor and producer. His acting roles include Soames Forsyte in the ITV remake of The Forsyte Saga, Detective Charlie Crews in the NBC drama Life, Major Richard Winters in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, and as Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody in the Showtime series Homeland. The British actor revealed last month (Feb12) the politician is a huge fan of the drama series, and now it has emerged Lewis and his wife are heading to Washington, D.C. next week (beg12Mar12) to share a meal with Obama and First Lady Michelle.

Lewis tells U.K. chat show host Graham Norton, ""It turns out it is his favourite show. But the big news is that he has invited me to the White House for dinner.

""I am going with Helen my wife to dinner next Wednesday. I am going to fly to Washington, have dinner and fly back. There will probably be a thousand of his closest friends but I don't care. I am going.""
