The director of ÂDam 999Â, Sohan Roy is a disappointed man.
His disappointment is because the Tamil Nadu government has issued a ban on his film ÂDam 999Â, from releasing in the state. The reason by the state government for the ban is that if this film is shown in Tamil Nadu then it might affect the friendly relationship the state shares with its neighbor Kerala.
But surprisingly, there is no ban on this film in Kerala. Some top officials in the state (Tamil Nadu) are also believed to have said that the dam shown in ÂDam 999Â might bear a similarity with the Mullaiperiyar dam, the lease right of which are held by the Tamil Nadu state for 999 years.

But the director of ÂDam 999Â, has not lost hope. He has moved his case to the Supreme Court under the pretext of the right to express oneÂs creative freedom. ÂDam 999Â is produced by BizTV Network.
The film is an emotional thriller and also showcases Navarasa or the Indian concept of nine human emotions. There is also a subtle love story which has been cleverly woven in the backdrop of a very old and ruined dam.
