Dale Steyn becomes highest wicket-taker for SA in Tests

South African bowler Dale Steyn, on the first day of his first Test at SuperSport Park on Wednesday, took his 422nd wicket of Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman to set the record for the highest number of wickets in South African history.
Zaman’s dismissal helped him overtake his predecessor Shaun Pollock, who praised him as “an absolutely brilliant performer, an absolute champion and a true leader of the attack.”
Dale Steyn holds the 11th position on the list of highest wicket-takers of all time, with New Zealand’s Richard Hadlee ahead of him at the 10th position.
