The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards of 2024 were held in Mumbai on Tuesday evening, and it was a star-studded show to be spoken about, with the presence of Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Nayanthara, Shahid Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sandeep Red.

Last September, the blockbuster movie Jawan broke box office records and crossed ₹1000 crore worldwide. Helmed by Atlee, the movie saw Shah Rukh, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Deepika Padukone, and Sanjay Dutt in extended cameo roles.

2023 represented a brilliant accomplishment on the side of the film Animal by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, which, though glorifying misogyny, was a huge blockbuster, arousing quite some public furor. The movie has stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, wherein it is a troubled father-son relationship, and through it, Ranbir plays Rannvijay Singh for avenging his father, who happens to be a target for assassination.
