The novel COVID19 pandemic has forced the shutdown of many streams of business around the world including movie theaters, malls, theme parks and movie shootings as well. Meanwhile director Karthik Naren has silently started the script work for his next movie 'D43' starring Dhanush in the lead role. He is collaborating with Malayalam screenwriting duo Suhas and Sharfu who have the hits 'Varathan' and 'Virus' to their credit. He has shared a photo of the trio in work mode.

'D43' has Dhanush as the hero with G.V. Prakash scoring the music and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. The plot according to the first look poster released earlier senior independent journalist Gurumoorthy and his wife are killed in an accident and their elder son played by Dhanush investigates to get to the truth of whether it could be a murder. Shooting is set to begin in June this year hopefully after the coronavirus is brought under control.
