D. Imman, one of the leading music composers of the Tamil film industry, has officially announced his divorce with his e-wife Monica last year. The couple who had an arranged marriage on 24th April, 2008 and have two daughters Veronica Dorothy Imman and Blessica Kathy Imman.

He wrote on social media "To all my well wishers and ardent music lovers who have been supportive all along, I am truly grateful for that. As life takes us on different paths, Monicka Richard and I have legally divorced by mutual consent as of November 2020 and are no longer husband and wife. I request all our well wishers, music lovers and the media to give us our privacy and help us to move on and move forward. Thanks a lot for your understanding, love and support."

Imman has now filed a case in the Chennai High Court seeking action against his ex-wife Monica alleging that she illegally applied for fresh passports for their children concealing the fact that he already is in possession of their original passports.

The Chennai High Court has ordered the Zonal Passport Officer and Monica to respond to Imman's complaint. Meanwhile in a recent interview Imman has expressed his wish to remarry a widow or a divorcee with a girl child to start a new family along with his two daughters.
