D Company Preview

After many types of anthology movies that Mollywood witnessed, here comes the first action portmanteau in 'D Company'. This up coming movie with three independently shot action movies will have works by M Padmakuamr, Deeephan and Vinod Vijayan. With an ensemble cast of Jayasurya, Anoop Menon, Unni Mukundan, Fahad Fazil, Samudhira Kani, Bhama, Thanushree Ghosh, Ananya and Asif Ali, `D Company' is produced by Vinod Vijayan, Seven Arts Mohan and Faisal Latheef under the banner of D Cutz Film Company.

The film was earlier supposed to have five featurettes of directors but was split into two films with the first part featuring three directors' ventures.
                                         
Oru Bolivian Diary 1995, is set in a tribal habitat and deals with the tales of a North Indian Maoist leader Chaukidar (Samuthirakani) who comes to Wayanad to spread his doctrines among the local tribes. The plot revolves around a hunt for him by a police inspector Narain, who narrates the story to a reporter (Ananya) 15 years after the incident. Asif Ali plays Chinnan a tribal youth who initially gets fascinated by Chaukidar and later develops strong emotional ties with him.The  thriller movie was shot in Muthanga and Sultan Bathery.

The second movie `Gangs of Vadakkumnathan is a gangster film set in the backdrop of religion. It deals with the gang wars in and around Thrissur. Jayasurya plays a goonda from the backdrops of Thrissur named Varaalu Jaison. Unni Mukundan plays the villain role of a hotshot police officer while Anoop Menon who scripted the movie will also seen in this short flick.

The stunt sequences are done by Mafia Sasi, Thyagarajan, Anal Arash and Kanal Kannan.

The  third segment feature  Fahadh Faasil who plays a law student in the film. Bhama is the heroine while Thanushre appears as a policeman in the movie.
 
The movie will get to theatres by this Onam.
