Cyanide
'Cyanide' is the 20 days trauma faced by Rajiv Gandhi assassinators in Bangalore before they took cyanide and ended their life. Without bringing in the political statements, LTTE role etc this film is made with lot of home work by director Ramesh who did 'Santosha' in Kannada sometime back. Reputed cameraman Rathnavelu has added extra dimension to this film that is dedicated to Karnataka police.
The plight of Shivarasan (played by Ravi Kale), Shuba (played by Malavika), Ranganath who gives shelter for the assassins (played by Rangayana Raghu) and his wife Mridula (Played by national award winning actress Thara) and the police struggle form the theme of this film.
The lead actors who played have the following statement to make:
Avinash - this is a bold attempt a cross over cinema. Randy's camera is a master piece.
Malavika - I knew Srilanka activities by reading a lot. That helped me lot to immerse in the role of Shuba.
Ravi Kale - who plays Shivarasan - to play this role it requires guts. Because I am the nation's villain.
Rangayana Raghu - who plays Ranganath house owner - This profession of art has the essense of past, present and future.
Thara - Ranganath's wife - I don't do much of talking in this movie. My work does the talk. I hope I have done very well.
Cameraman Randy - Director Ramesh screenplay was very intense. We worked according to schedule for 30 days.
This will be a different experience says director Ramesh who is releasing the Kannada and Tamil version in June 2006.
