After 'Madras' actor Kalaiyarasan started gaining prominence in Kollywood and he is gradually emerging as a hero material. In 'Raja Mandhiri' the film, which released a few months ago, he played as one of the leads and the film was critically acclaimed. Then he has acted in the recent blockbuster 'Kabali' with Superstar Rajinikanth and this definitely will raise his fortunes to sky levels.

He is presently acting as one of the male leads in quite a few films and now he is all set to join a prominent production banner.

Sources reveal that Kalaiyarasan will be playing one of the lead roles in a new film to be produced by C.V. Kumar, whose Thirukumaran Entertainments banner has facilitated the much needed break for many prominent young artists and technicians.

The yet to be titled film will mark the directorial debut of Johny, a former assistant director of Bala. This will be a triple hero subject with Vaibhav and Kaali Venkat as the other two heroes apart from Kalaiyarasan.

The film will go on floors in September. Official announcement and more details about the cast and crew of the film can be expected to arrive very soon.
