Noted producer C.V.Kumar has turned director for a Tamil film titled 'Mayavan'. The film stars Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathy in lead roles. Both the lead actors have made their respective Tamil debuts with 'Yaaruda Mahesh' and 'Bramman.'

The story for this action thriller flick has been written by Kumar while director Nalan Kumarasamy has penned the screenplay.

Now the latest update about the film is that it has reached the final stage of shooting. It must be noted that the shooting commenced only in April this year.

Kumar said that after writing the story, he wanted Nalan Kumarasamy to direct it as a film but the latter felt that Kumar himself can direct the film and preferred to write the screenplay.

Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff and Daniel Balaji have acted as villains in the film. Jeyaprakash of 'Velayudham' fame, Bhagavathy Perumal and Mime Gopi have acted in supporting roles. Akshara Gowda of 'Arrambam' fame has made a guest appearance.

'Mayavan' is being produced by K.E.Gnanavelraja of Studio Green, in association with C.V.Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainments banners. Ghibran is doing the musical score. Gopi Amarnath has handled the cinematography while Leo John Paul is taking care of Editing.
