C.V.Kumar and Nalan Kumarasamy team up for the Third time

Producer C.V.Kumar who has to be credited with introducing many highly talented young directors, technicians and actors for Tamil cinema is making his debut as a director. Kumar's debut directorial has been titled as 'Mayavan' and it has started rolling in Chennai on Monday with a formal pooja.

'Mayavan' is being bankrolled by Producer K.E.Gnanavelraja of Studio Green banner. The film stars Sundeep Kishan and Lavanya Tripathi of 'Brahman' fame in lead roles. Daniel Balaji has been roped in to play a pivotal supporting character. Bhagavathy Perumal, JP, Mime Gopi, Babu Antony and others are part of supporting characters.

After working with veteran Kamal Haasan in three consecutive films 'Uttama Villain', 'Papanasam' and 'Thoongavanam', Ghibran is teaming up with C.V.Kumar to score music for this film. Gopinath will be handling the cinematography. Leo John Paul will take care of Editing.

Director Nalan Kumarasamy of 'Soodhu Kavvum' fame has penned the screenplay and dialogues for the film and this is surely going to rake up the expectations on 'Mayavan'. This is the third time the duo is teaming up after 'Soodhu Kavvum' and the yet to be released 'Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum' but this time with different roles.

The makers have assured that 'Mayavan' will be a commercial entertainer made on a grand scale and the film will be enjoyable for all sections of audience.
