Curtains raised for another big fight

  • IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,November 28 2012]

Last Friday, two Telugu films, namely Dhamarukam and Routine Love Story, slugged it out with the immensely popular Life of Pi. Come November 30, we are in for yet another big fight. This time, the fight is between two apparently novel and well-meaning cinema - Krishnam Vande Jagatgurm and Talaash.

The Hindi film directed by Reema Kagti stars Aamir Khan in the lead role, which is his first outing since the hugely successful 3 Idiots. Given the popularity he enjoys down South, Rana Daggubati's film will definitely have a big competitor in the Twin Cities and other urban and semi-urban areas of the State. Besides, the overseas market, where KVJ is releasing big, is a battleground too.

The good news is that KVJ is Krish's and Rana's most popular film. Simply put, its wonderful trailer has caught the imagination of a wide chunk of the audience. As such, it is unlikely to be ignored. At most, Aamir Khan's irrepressible star attraction may cause some delay in KVJ realizing its full BO potential.
