Any new update on Mohanlal's most awaited upcoming movie 'The Mahabharata' is bound to excite fans. Much to the delight of the Mohanlal fans, the movie's director VA Shrikumar recently posted an interesting update. "For all those who are eager to know randamoozham progress. The pre prdn work is in full swing and I would be dedicating myself frm Jan 19 (sic)," Shrikumar Menon wrote.

Mahabharatha is based on MT Vasudevan Nair's epic novel Randamoozham. Mohanlal will play the role of Bheema in the upcoming magnum opus which will engage both Indian and international artistes, including Academy winners.

The project will be shot in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and dubbed in major Indian and foreign languages. The casting process is being managed by an international company and is moving on at a brisk pace. To be released in two parts, the movie will reportedly go on floors next year-end and is expected to release in early 2020. The second part of the movie would be released within 90 days of the first part.

Meanwhile, Shrikumar Menon's Odiyan which also has Mohanlal in the lead has finished its second schedule. The next schedule will kickstart after Mohanlal get in shape for the next phase of his character as a 30-year-old. The complete actor is prepping up for a never seen before fit avatar.
