Curious trend: Webcast wedding, home delivery of wedding food

For obvious reasons this pandemic season, LIVE streaming of weddings has become commonplace. We are hearing of many attending Instagram weddings. In fact, Chiranjeevi recently streamed the wedding of Niharika Konidela so his mother can watch at the comfort of her home. COVID-19 has made it risky to have crowded weddings. Old people are staying indoors. So, technology has been leveraged.
The fat Indian wedding has now given way to slim weddings that are sometimes being webcast for relatives and friends. What is more, just so that those in the city/town don't miss out on yummy food, home delivery of food is being arranged through catering agencies.
The trend is likely to survive till at least the middle of 2021, given that the pandemic is not going to go away anytime soon. Many are heaving a sigh of relief. Deepika Narayan Bharadwaj commented, "WOW. Food at doorstep. No hassles of buying new clothes, spending on parlour & then comparisons on who's looking the best. No family bitching gossips & jhagdas of who's getting what return gift. THIS IS SO COOL."
A Twitter user wrote, "No interactions with aunties who will ask how your exams are going on? No more babies crying? No more fuck*n screaming loud girl groups? SIGN ME UP DAWG!!"
To be sure, this is really cool!
