Known for maintaining his cool attitude and calm demeanor, not very often does a person like Mahendra Singh Dhoni gets angry on field. But yesterday was a rare occurrence as captain cool, as he's fondly known, lost cool as he entered into the pitch during the final over of the CSK vs RR match, though he had been dismissed in the third ball of the same over.
The fourth ball bowled by Ben Stokes was a full toss to Mitchell Santner as CSK was in need of eight runs in last three balls. While umpire Ulhas Gandhe instantly gave a no-ball, after consultation with square-leg umpire Bruce Oxenford the shocker of event happened.
Oxenford declared it to be a legal delivery, following which Ravindra Jadeja had a chat with umpires and in an unexpected turn of events Dhoni, came inside the field in protest. The argument also involved several Rajasthan players and amidst all drama, Oxenford's call stood.Ben Stokes too tried to calm down Dhoni though the aggression never subsided.CSK however ended achieving a thrilling win with Santner hitting the final ball for a six, to gift Dhoni his 100th win as a captain in IPL.
