"After 25 years in cricket, I have decided to move on. Cricket has given me everything I have. Thank you for being a part of this journey," said Yuvraj Singh, the great batsman, in his parting speech. The champ today announced retirement from international cricket.
Yuvraj said that he never imagined that he would go on to play 400 games for his country. Saying that cricket taught him how to rise, to dust off and move on, the favourite batsman of millions got emotional. Those of you who watched him play the 2007 World T20 and 2011 World Cup victories will always cherish the memories of his cricketing.
"One of the greatest match-winners in the history of the game, a fighter who built an extraordinary career through difficult challenges & came out a winner every time-We all are so proud of you #YuvrajSingh, you can be very proud of what u have you done for our country," Mohammad Kaif said, paying a tribute to his colleague.
