According to a Police complaint raised by 20 cattle farmers in Kerala's Kollam district, an unknown person has been sexually assaulting their cows since January 2021. While farmers initially thought that someone who had a personal grudge was assaulting the cows, later it was found that other farmers also faced the same issue. According to their statement, the anonymous person has been using cows for unnatural sexual activity. Reportedly, the cows were tied, beaten up, and tortured. Their breasts were injured using stones and the anal area was bruised by inserting sticks. The farmers claimed that long-term treatment is required for them to get back to good health.

As the Police failed to take any action, the farmers formed a group and decided to track the person by fixing a CCTV camera. Though the farmers traced the person, caught him, and handed him over to the police, he was let off due to lack of evidence. Due to this, many farmers are planning to sell off their cows as they couldn't see them getting tortured.
