COVID-19: Thalapathy Vijay donates huge amount for TN, Kerala , Karnataka and AP

The coronavirus pandemic has crippled the economies of the world apart from infecting over 25 lakh people and killing close to two lakhs. Many celebrities have made donations for various relief funds to provide food and essentials to the needy.
After Raghava Lawrence, Thala Ajith, Surya, Karthi, Superstar Rajinikanth, and many others, now the latest celeb who has stepped up in the time of need is Thalapathy Vijay. While it was unknown how much Thalapathy Vijay had donated, the actor's fan club president Bussy Anand has now officially revealed the numbers.
According to Anand, Thalapathy Vijay has donated a total of rupees 1.3 Crores for the coronavirus relief funds. The breakup is Rs. 50 Lakhs to TN Chief Ministers Fund, Rs. 25 Lakhs to PM Cares, Rs. 25 Lakhs to FEFSI, Rs. 10 Lakhs to Kerala CM fund, and Rs. 5 Lakhs each to the Karnataka, Telangana and Puducherry CM relief funds. Besides this, a sum of rupees fifty lakhs has been set aside for the actor's fans club.
On the movies front, Vijay's 'Master', which features him alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Malvika Mohanan, has pushed its release date due to the coronavirus pandemic.
