The second wave of Covid-19 has reportedly brought in its wake a new set of symptoms. The prevailing wisdom is that cold, cough and fever are the most common symptoms of coronavirus. But a new study conducted in the wake of the ever-spreading second wave suggests that at least four new symptoms are associated with the infection.
Conjunctivitis or pink eyes is one of them. Stomach trouble in the form of diarrhoea or resulting in vomiting and such health issues has also been observed. Caugh with an unusual sound is also said to be a symptom. This cough is persistent.
Hearing impairment is also being observed, a study says.
Breathlessness and fatigue, which have been associated with coronavirus from the beginning continue to be seen in the second wave.
Symptomatic infections in the second wave, at least in India, are said to be less than that compared to the first wave. As such, there is no need to panic. Individuals showing symptoms are advised by experts to go for a test.
