In the wake of the rapid spread of Coronavirus across the state, a 54-year-old man identified as Lami Arackal, a domestic passenger who landed at Cochin International Airport, was arrested after he refused to wear the mask and follow the restrictions as given by the health officials. The incident happened on Tuesday.

Lami landed from Chennai at the Airport on Monday night and allegedly misbehaved with the medical officers who instructed him to follow the measures to check COVID-19 spread. Every passenger coming from other states should observe a set of precautions to curb the spread.

He was, however, later released on bail, said the Police.
