A day after Onam, Kerala reported 1140 fresh COVID-19 cases. With this, the total count of COVID-19 cases reached 76,525 on Tuesday. The state also registered 2,111 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 1059 people developed the disease through contact while 158 are unknown. 14 people had returned from abroad and 36 from other states. Apart from this, 20 health workers also tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.Four more deaths were reported on the same, bringing the official death toll to 298.
